Here we have the workspace of my grandfather, the late Robert Woodrow Grubbs Sr. Bob, as he was known, was a military engineer proficient in mechanics, electronics, ordinance and everything else that could be taken apart and put back together by hands. Once retired, he devoted his energy to making marble mazes and light boxes for his grandsons. And he did it all here in a place we called The Magic Basement.
